Itinerary
we will begin our day Travel to the beautiful neighborhoods of Lapa and Santa Taresa where we will visit the Salaron Stairs. The Salaron Stairs is the unique and extraordinary handwork of Salaron, and the greatest work that Salaron has created for which he has dedicated the last 20 years of his life. You’ll be hearing the unbelievable story of this art of his life. From this piece of art we will go the the new Port of Rio de Janeiro, which was re-build for the Olympic games of Rio. At the new port we will get to see and amazing 180m long Grafity, which was made by Kobra, and the beatifull Museom of tomorrow at Praça Maua.
We will then continue on to the classic neighborhood of Santa Teresa. This neighborhood is filled with 18th century palaces from the era of the Brazilian Kingdoms, and serves today as a young Bohemian center filled with galleries, Bars, and restaurants.
Afterwards we’ll continue on to the most famous place in Rio De Janeiro, the statue of Jesus - located atop mount Corcovado, 700 meters above see level.
we will travel into Tijuka forest, the largest Urban forest in the world, located in the midst of a bustling city. The serenity inside the forest will make it hard to even imagine that there is a city surrounding it. Along the way we’ll visit some great sightseeing spots to take in some amazing views of the city of Rio De Janeiro.
On the last leg of this trip we will visit the biggest Favela in Rio - A cultural and authentic tour of the poor neighborhoods surrounding Rio De Janeiro. Leading this tour will be people who were raised in the city of Favela. You’ll learn how a poor neighborhood can survive inside a costly Brazil, and you’ll get the inside scoop on how the Favela’s came into being, and why it is so difficult to leave. This part of the day tour is one of the strongest and memorable experiences in Rio de Janeiro, it’s safe, interesting, and above all combined with social project in the neighborhood, in order to make change in the life of the locals.
